What is the Move Program?

Lloyd Security will provide you with our special Mover's Package (even if you move out of state!)

This package includes a FREE Basic Security System for your new home.

Am I Eligible?

You are eligible if you’ve been a Lloyd Security customer for at least one year and are in good standing.

What will Lloyd Security Need From Me?

Lloyd Security requires a 30-day authorized, written cancellation notice.

Speak to a Lloyd Security representative to receive an electronic Cancellation form so you can complete it on the go!

What if I Don’t Need a System Where I am Moving?

If the new homeowner signs a new monitoring agreement with Lloyd Security*, within 30 days of the closing date, we will waive your Balance of Contract.

If the new homeowner does not want security, and you cannot install a new security system at this time, you will be invoiced for the remaining contracted months, but we will keep that amount as a credit to your account.

When you are ready to install your new basic system, that credit on your account will be applied at that time.

NOTES: Current account must be in good standing.

Minimum 36 month monitoring agreement required by new home owner.

Agreement must be signed within 30 days of closing date

Tips to Consider When Moving:

1) Locate your System Manual and User Guide.

  • Have it ready for potential buyers

2) Consider Changing Your Master Code.

  • If you plan on keeping your master code on your new system in your new home, you make want to change the current code to something generic, while your house is on the market so the new home owner can access the system after closing.

3) Keep Your System Monitored Up Until Closing Date.

  • Even if you plan on moving, empty houses with for sales signs are a magnet for thieves looking to steal appliances, copper plumbing or anything of value.

4) Notify Us as Soon As You Decide To Place Your House on the Market.

  • This will allow us to assist you in the transaction from start to finish.

5) Be Sure to Train Your Realtor on How to Use Your Security System.

  • Your security system adds value to your home, so the more the realtor knows about it, the more value potential buyers recognize. This will also help in keeping your realtor from tripping the system and causing false alarms.

6) If You are Shutting Your Home Phone Off While Your Home is on the Market, Let Us Know!

  • We will need to update your contact list and notify Central Monitoring of that change, otherwise you may receive unnecessary calls, emails or trouble beeping from your system.

Reminder:

With your home on the market, it is important to consider the following until the new homeowners move in:

1. Continuing your security system’s monitoring is a good way to prevent theft, destruction, or unwanted guests.

2. Creating a separate User Code for the realtor is a smart way to monitor who is entering and existing your home.

3. If you remove your phone line and do not have a cellular communicator your system may be unable to communicate any signals to our central station.
